Five Things Book
A Trompe-I'œil book meaning "Trick of the eye" is meant to create a fully immersive experience of going through the lunchbox of a preteen in the 80s. The items in the lunchbox appear as normal objects a nerdy kid might keep in his lunchbox instead of food but they also act as singular books about why each item is in there.
This book is a physical embodiment of an interview with Jason Barnett about what five items are most influential to him and why they have such importance to him. These objects take on their true physical forms as well as some artistic twist to ensure the object is still pictured but still fits the theme.
